WHERE DID OUR NAME COME FROM?
Every good brand has a story that inspired it. Ours comes from a commencement address delivered at Kenyon College in 2005 by the late David Foster Wallace. Called by some “the greatest commencement address of all time”– it’s worth a listen.
In it, Wallace shares a story of two young fish so consumed with themselves and their daily swim that they simply cannot appreciate the water. The story of the fish, which teaches the importance of maintaining awareness and resisting the urge to move through life on auto-pilot, is a lesson for creative minds and communicators alike. It is often hard to see what is right in front of us and all around us. Organizations with great missions often get stuck in this place. We believe our job is to help clients think differently, appreciate resources, connect, inspire, and see the water.
